Level 3 Reset Support – Pinnacle Peak Ace Hardware
Pinnacle Peak Ace Hardware engaged Arrowhead Retail Innovations for a Level 3 reset, categorized as a small project within the overall service offering.
This type of engagement is designed to support targeted category resets that require a balance of planogram execution, in-store adjustments, and efficient on-site merchandising. The focus is on improving shopability, aligning with updated assortments, and ensuring a clean, consistent presentation throughout the set.
Level 3 resets provide hands-on support while maintaining flexibility to adapt to store-specific needs, fixtures, and inventory considerations.
The following section outlines the full scope and execution of this project in detail.
Level 3 Reset - Electrical Components
Scope of Work
This project focused on a Level 3 reset of the Electrical Components category at Pinnacle Peak Ace Hardware, requiring detailed merchandising and thoughtful inventory evaluation.
Over the course of two days, the category was fully remerchandised to improve organization, visibility, and overall shopability. Shelving was adjusted—including tilting shelves where appropriate—to enhance product presentation and make selection easier for customers.
During the reset, a number of obsolete items were identified. Electrical components present a unique challenge, as they are often project-based and not always quick to sell through. As part of the process, guidance was provided on exit strategies for these items, including options such as donating usable product to organizations like Habitat for Humanity or utilizing metal recycling where applicable.
The result is a cleaner, more functional set with improved accessibility and a clear path forward for managing aged inventory.
